Our Council has once again been chosen by the Boy Scouts of Japan to participate in an exchange program. On July 26th, nearly 30 Scouts from the Tokyo Council will be embarking on a trek, which will land them in Chicago. They will then join our scouts at Camp Mach the week of July 27 thru Aug 2, followed by a home stay with families in our communities thru Aug 5.
We have an exciting agenda planned, including a pow-wow at Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, a stop in Oshkosh at the EAA air show, and a day in the city touring Chicago’s landmarks.
Please help us fund this adventure and create a wonderful cultural experience for our youth. We need both financial and personal support to meet or exceed what we were able to achieve in 2005. Email Lynette Sarther at lsarther@bsamail.org with any questions or comments. Arigato-o gozaimasu (Thank you very much)!
