Friends of Scouting

Join us on the “Pathway to a New Century of Scouting”.

The Annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign is an important source of revenue for the services provided to youth by the Des Plaines Valley Council. In 2010, approximately 81% of DPVC’s expenses were program related. Almost 20% of our revenue came from the FOS campaign. Help us continue our journey into the New Century of Scouting. Become a Friends of Scouting donor today.

Please consider that it costs the Council approximately $252 to support one scout this year. Donors who support one scout will receive a limited edition Council Shoulder Patch from our Scout Law series.

Unit Participation:

If you are in a Pack, Troop, Crew, or Post, you will be having or have already had a Friends of Scouting presentation at one of your meetings this year. Your time and effort is appreciated. Your presenter will inform you about an Above and Beyond program for your unit to achieve. Learn how your unit’s families could be invited to a fun-filled party at The Max! In addition, all donors at each presentation will instantly receive a “Words to Live By” luggage tag as a token of appreciation.

If you have not scheduled your unit’s presentation yet, please download the presentation request form, below. It can be faxed to the council office at 708.354.3615 or emailed to your district contact:
