National Law Enforcement Exploring Scholarships

There are several scholarships available to Explorers. Most have a deadline of completion by March 15. More information and applications are available on the website: http://www.learningforlife.org/exploring/index.html.

ATFRA SCHOLARSHIP of $1,000 available to law enforcement Explorers.

CAPTAIN JAMES J. REGAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is two one-time $500 scholarships.

DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION SERVICE AWARD is an engraved plaque and a $1,000 award presented in recognition of “an act or actions representing a contribution of outstanding service in drug abuse prevention.”

FEDERAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATORS’ SERVICE AWARD gives a $500 U.S. Savings bond and plaque to Explorers who render outstanding service to law enforcement agencies.

FLOYD BORING AWARD is two $2,000 scholarships to law enforcement Explorers whose achievements reflect the high degree of motivation, commitment, and community concern that epitomizes the law enforcement profession.

ISCPP COMMUNITY CRIME PREVENTION AWARD provides an annual recognition of Explorer posts that exhibit outstanding support of their communities’ crime prevention programs.

SHERYL A. HORAK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is a merit-based award of a one-time $1,000 scholarship, a plaque and pin.

VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPLORERS is a merit-based award consisting of a plaque, a U.S. savings bond, and recognition in the association’s newsletter.
