Welcome to “Profiles in Scouting.” This is a series of brief articles, presented by the Council’s Communications Committee, in which we will describe some of the basic leadership positions and roles that are important in carrying out and supporting the Scouting mission within a Boy Scout Council. We will focus on a particular Profile by describing it through the eyes and experiences of one of our own in the Des Plaines Valley Council.
We hope that in presenting these Profiles we will broaden understanding within our Council about these important positions and roles and how, when those fulfilling them work well together, they can make the Scouting experience the best it can be.
