National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE)

NAYLEIf a Boy Scout or Venturer is at least 14 years old, holds a troop or crew leadership position, and has completed National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) or a special Venturer "bridging course", he or she is eligible to apply for the Philmont-based, National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience or NAYLE. This backcountry program expands upon the team building and ethical decision making skills learned in NYLT while adding elements of Philmont Ranger Training and advanced Search and Rescue skills to teach leadership, teamwork, and lessons of selfless service. For more information, please see the NAYLE website.

Graduates of NYLT are eligible for a scholarship to help offset the costs of attending NAYLE at Philmont National Scout camp.
