VFW Scholarship Available
As part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars outreach program, they have set up a “Scout of the Year” program. This program will award a $5000 scholarship to be presented at their National Convention. Those eligible to apply must be a recipient of the Eagle Scout Award, Venture Silver Award, or the Sea Scout Quartermaster Award; be between the ages 15 to 18 years of age; and enrolled in high school.
An application is available on the VFW website and may be reproduced. The deadline for submitting a completed entry to a VFW Post in the scout’s community is March 1.
