National Jamboree | The Des Plaines Valley Council will send a total of 72 Scouts and 8 Leaders in 2 Troops to celebrate Scouting’s 100th anniversary at the National Jamboree. The Jamboree will be held at Fort A. P. Hill, VA |
| 9/18/10 | Scout-o-rama | Scout-O-Rama is a fun-filled, family day of hands-on activities, sports, crafts, games, demonstrations, exhibits and fun. The Des Plaines Valley Council Scout-O-Rama celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in America will be held at Brookfield Zoo. All Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing and Learning for Life units are encouraged to participate with a booth, display or hands-on activity showcasing much of what we do to assist our scouts to be prepared for life. |
| Oct. 9 | Council Dinner Dance | Celebrate the elegant side of Scouting at the Council's Dinner Dance to be held at the La Grange Country Club. |
