Recognition Events

District Dinners

This is the opportunity for each district to thank those volunteers who have given so much during the past year in the operation of the Scouting program at all levels. All units are encouraged to attend this event and to nominate their leaders and volunteers for a variety of recognitions, including the District Award of Merit, for presentation at this event.

Council Annual Banquet

This annual recognition event is the council’s opportunity to honor those volunteers with fellowship and inspiration.

Included as part of the dinner is the presentation of the Silver Beaver recognitions, the highest award the Council can bestow on selected volunteers. Nomination forms for the Silver Beaver Award are available at Roundtables and the Council Service Center.

Additionally, other Council recognitions will be made at this time. Remarks and thanks by our elected officers and entertainment are also included in the program. All registered Scouters and Friends of Scouting are invited at attend. Reservation information will be available through Roundtables, the Scouters News, and at the Council Service Center.
